Championship Motors
History
Back in the early-90's, founder and then Badger Kart Club president, Bob
Prusinski, saw a growing need at Badger Raceway. Member turnover was growing
rapidly and the overwhelming reason given was that the drivers couldn't get
competitive fast enough to make the effort worthwhile! So he started the
consulting company R-TEC.
R - Robert (Prusinski) or Racing
T - Technical Help
E - Education
C - Chassis Setup
Bob began consulting for drivers, helping them with driving techniques, chassis setups and parts. He worked with several well-known drivers like Tato Emmons and Speed Weaver, helping them to move from back-markers up to champions.
Near the end of the 1990's, he began working on motors, adding his own special touches. With top industry contacts across the nation, he was able to obtain inside knowledge and the best parts at reasonable costs. And he passed the savings along to his customers.
Today
In 2004, Jim Bennett joined R-TEC as the chief kart engineer and helping out
with motors. Today, Jim is a major part of R-TEC, offering chassis setup, motor
help, technical know-how and fabrication. In fact, Jim's special changes to the
Birel cadet kart were actually utilized by Birel for their 2006 line.
R-TEC has established a long list of champions at Badger Raceway. Additionally, clients have won WKA National Manufacturer's Cup races and prestigious road races like the Road America Supernationals and Championship Enduro Series champions!
